I need some serious help from a guy or girl what ever just please help!?

ok my best guy friend asked me out i mean we have always been close (new him sence elementry) ok not that big of a deal. i mean i was shoked but i always had a feeling that he liked me but i just ignored it. i tryed taking the easy way out with out hurting him at all so I said "umm..i donna can you give me some time to think about it "grrr im sutch a idiot! the next time i saw him he didnt say or ask about it he thought i said no. (witch in away i dont blame him for thinking) but ever sence he asked me out i fell like deeply in love with this guy. so i thought ill just bring it up but i just cant because its so awkward now....im a mess right now..plus i think hes getting over me....HELP PLEASE.
