Any ideas how to reduce Britain's carbon emissions?

So how do they work out these figures? Guess work I think. the greatest production of CO2 would be from natural causes, like breathing, maybe if all the Greens stopped breathing that would reduce the carbon emissions. Unfortunately as long as the population of this country continues to rise emissions will continue to rise, more people more breathing.
