Can you reinstall an OEM OS?

I have an OEM Vista installation disc. I want to restart my computer- just wipe out everything (using g-parted) and reinstall the vista OS. Will I be allowed to do this? I have heard that you can only install OEM once on your PC before you have to start calling Microsoft and get authorization and stuff (which would be a great hle). Is this true?
