My boyfriend left my in a lurch on valentines, now he's not talking to me... what to do?

After a rehearsal for a choir we're both in, he usually drives me home. It's on his way, and not much of an inconvenience, so after our rehearsal yesterday (valentines day) I expected the same. I had spent the weekend making these adorable little cakes for him, and at this point, I would have been proud to give them to Martha Stewart! Valentines day is not a big deal to him, which is okay, because it is a pretty commercial holiday, but he knew that I had wanted to do something to make it special, and he knew bout the cakes. During rehearsal he seemed distant, and left without saying goodbye, or taking the cakes I had spent an entire weekend making for him. He also left me without a means of getting home, in Edmonton (where it's always pretty darn chilly...) I want to talk to him about it, but he didn't text me today like he usually does when he takes his lunch break at work. Should I wait until I see him again to talk in person, or text him and ask him to make time for s to talk online? also, just some advice in general on the situation would be great. PS, this isn't the first time. He tends to send me home on dates when he gets tired, or has other plans, and I often feel like he treats me no differently than his other friends, like I'm his girlfriend in times of convenience only.
